Quickbooks error 1920 usually occurs when Quickbooks database server manager fails to connect with the files in the drive.

 Causes:

  • Installation of Quickbooks is damaged. 

  • Power failure. 

  • Virus or malware failure. 

  • Invalid window registries. 


How to fix Quickbooks error 1920?



  1. Uninstalling Quickbooks.

  • Press Windows+S and go to the programs and features tab in the control panel.

  • From the list, choose Quickbooks and proceed to uninstall Quickbooks. 


  1. Rename the installation folders. 

  • Check for the folder listed for your version windows. 

  • Open the location of the folder by entering location in the run window. 

  • Rename the given file. 


  1. Resolving the error manually. 

  • Proceed to rename the Quickbooks company file and then open company file and Quickbooks. 

  • Find the product info by clicking F2 and you will see the tracking of the file. 

  • Find this location of the file using run command and then continue to rename the file. 


  1. Uninstalling Quickbooks database server manager. 

  • Press windows+R and type appwiz.cpl in the run box. 

  • And, select Quickbooks database server manager. 

  • Now select the uninstall option to continue uninstalling this.
