  • Open company file folder.

  • Find the file with the .qbw extension.

  • You will see No company open tab.

  • Go to Open or restore an existing company tab.



Solution 2: Closing the Processes.

  • Login to the system with admin credentials.

  • Press Ctrl+shift+esc and open task manager.

  • Click Users and select all the Quickbooks related processes.

  • Now you need to click on the end task tab.



Solution 3: Using Quickbooks Database Server Manager.

  • Download Quickbooks tools hub.

  • Go to Quickbookstollshub.exe and install it.

  • Click on its icon to open it.

  • Move to the Network issues tab.

  • Select Quickbooks database server manager.

  • Move to the company file location and click tab- scan folders.

  • Find the files and folders having the company file and click Ok.

  • Click Start Scan.



Solution 4: Renaming .nd file.

  • Move to the location of the .ND file.

  • Right click on the file.

  • Select Rename. 

  • Rename the .ND file.
